2023
Big conference in the Senate and start of PR activities
In 2023, the CCMA began to become more visible at cryptocurrency conferences, including in the mass media, and thus began to more effectively promote wider awareness of the problems of the cryptocurrency sector in the Czech Republic.
The last bank in the Czech Republic terminated the accounts of most crypto companies - the CKMA subsequently arranged for its members to secure bank accounts with non-bank companies.
Through partner entities, we managed to start cooperation with decision-makers of the Czech political scene, to spread awareness of crypto issues among politicians (especially through the Conference in the Senate), and to start the process of modifying the laws of the Czech Republic in order to level the uneven playing field for entrepreneurs and users of cryptocurrencies in the Czech Republic.

2022
Economic study and start of lobbying activities
The Association has accepted a number of new members and enabled support for non-cryptocurrency enthusiasts in the Czech Republic, thus opening itself up to the public.
The CCMA collaborated with the Higher School of Economics to create a major economic study on the cryptocurrency sector and its potential in the Czech Republic.
The first steps towards a more active participation in the legislative process in the Czech Republic have begun, in order to improve the rights of crypto companies and their protection against discrimination (especially by banks).

2021
Reviewing EU legislation
2021 was a busy year with another intensive effort to engage with the banking sector (unsuccessful), followed by two formal complaints against banks to the Czech Antimonopoly Authority.
The Association, through the Ministry of Finance, was involved in commenting on the forthcoming EU regulatory measures called MiCA and AMLD6.
The first version of the platform for automated exchange of AML information between certified members of the CKMA was also launched.
The CKMA has established cooperation with similar associations abroad, especially in Slovakia.

2020
Establishment of the CKMA
The CKMA was established as a separate entity in April 2020, after it had already been operating as a separate "Crypto" platform within the Czech Fintech Association for several years, from which it was separated and became independent.
In its very first year of operation, the CKMA created the Cryptocurrency Companies Certification Program to establish a qualitative standard that its members achieve. It also initiated formal communication with the banking sector, both through the CNB, CBA, or the MoF, and through direct communication with all banks in the country. The banking sector did not reciprocate the communication.
